Now is the time to learn about Ethereum !

Ethereum is not a Cryptocurrency.

The Ethereum project aims to create a global virtual machine, the worlds computer, where applications can run (perhaps autonomously), scale at will, with 100% uptime.

More importantly, these applications are backed by the Ethereum blockchain, which provides integrity, hence the applications running here can be trustless (ie. they do not need verification of trust).

This means that we can eliminate the middle man and Ethereum applications can provide services directly to the public.

Where that application needs a measure of value, we can then use the Ether coin, native to Ethereum , and THIS is actually a cryptocurrency. The Ether currency powers the Ethereum network, as performing a transaction or storing some data on the blockchain incurs a cost.

In summary, the Ethereum project is probably the most exciting technological project of our time. I will explore this further in upcoming articles , but for more , please watch my video above.
